CANCEL, JARAMILLO TO AAA, MOYLAN AND JOHNSON RETURN

The Springfield Cardinals announced on Friday, the promotion of Robinson Cancel and Milko Jaramillo to Triple-A Memphis.  Filling the vacant roster spots will be Catcher Dan Moylan, who will return from the Memphis Redbirds, and Catcher Gabe Johnson, who has been out due to injury since mid-April.

Cancel was a 2005 All-Star in his first year in the St. Louis system.  The veteran back-stop had the go-ahead home run in Thursday night's win over Wichita.  On the season, Cancel was hitting .287 with eight homers and 26 RBIs in 65 games.

Jaramillo will be making his first career appearance at Triple-A, batting .234 with a home run and seven RBIs in 59 games for Springfield.

Moylan returns from Memphis after a brief stint with the Redbirds, his second already in 2005.  Moylan rejoins Springfield where he appeared in 34 games, batting .216 with one homer and seven RBIs.

Gabe Johnson returns to Springfield and will see his first action since breaking his left knee cap in Wichita back on April 17.  Johnson has been working out at the Spring Training Complex in Jupiter for the last several weeks.  While with the Springfield Cardinals, Johnson batted .346, appearing in just nine games before the injury
